Frist Shots- Sporting Clay Program in Marshall, MN
You never forget your First Shots®. Learn about the sport of target shooting using shotgun games and clay target shooting in Marshall, MN. Firearms safety, education, and responsibility will be addressed during this classroom and live-fire event. Look below for more information or to register.
First Shots is a program developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation to introduce women and first time shooters to the shooting sports. Reactivating lapsed shooters that may have drifted away from the shooting sports years ago is another goal of the program.
All expenses are paid by the NSSF, made possible by a grant to Shooters Sporting Clays of Marshall, MN. Eye protection, ear protection, shotshells and clay targets are all part of the package. Plan on attending a classroom session for an hour or so. We will give you hands on safety instruction, show the different types of shotguns, gauges and answer any questions you have. After classroom training, plan on shooting 15-50 shots at clay targets flying through the air with a shotgun. We will make sure you break some targets.
If you do not own a shotgun but are curious about the clay target shooting sports, this is the event for you. Gather a friend or two and get registered, come out and become a part of a social shooting sport - clay target shooting.
Our first class will be on January 19, 2019. With our facility we shoot shotguns from inside a heated area in a building attached directly to our main clubhouse. The clay targets are flying outside and the shooters themselves are inside shooting through doors.
Check out the video and pic above - a squad shooting at night under the lights from the heated 5-Stand room to get a better feel for the experience.
We can shoot during the day or evening under the lights.
THIS EVENT IS SPONSORED BY SHOOTERS SPORTING CLAYS, THE PRAIRIE OUTDOORSMAN RADIO SHOW AND MADE POSSIBLE BY THE NATIONAL SHOOTING SPORTS FOUNDATION.
